Advanced Therapeutic Massage specializes in massage programs that fit your specific needs. From sports injuries, whiplash, muscle imbalances and much more – allow our team of licensed massage therapists to provide you with the services you need to get back on track to living healthy and pain-free. We have worked alongside physical therapists for 11 years and we have a great referral system.
Laura graduated from the Health Enrichment Center in 1999. She went through the entire 1,000-hour program. She’s completed several other classes including reflexology, myofascial release, TMJ, hot stone and shoulder solutions. She worked alongside physical therapists, which helped her increase her knowledge greatly. In 2003, she started Advanced Therapeutic Massage, LLC. She has a great awareness of the body and how it all works. She specializes in deep tissue, therapeutic massage. She enjoys working with a wide variety of clients including pregnant women, people recovering from surgery and more. She loves to help people and see the improvements that their body goes through over time due to her massage therapy.
Anne McDonald graduated with a BFA from Pratt Institute in 1992. She attended the Health Enrichment Center in 1997, where she completed and graduated from their 1,000 hour program. She has been practicing massage therapy since 2000. She has a background in prenatal massage, sports massage and deep tissue massage. She enjoys working in the massage field because she loves helping people and enhancing their life. She has 2 children, is married and enjoys being active in her community.
Janice Foerch earned his degree in Exercise Science from Northern Illinois University. She worked as a student athletic trainer during her undergraduate studies, where she gained over 500 hours of experience. When she graduated, she became an ACSM certified health fitness specialist. She graduated from the Chicago Institute School of Massage Therapy in 1999. She has been working as a massage therapist since 2001. She specializes in deep tissue, sports massage and relaxation massage. She has 4 kids and loves to do yoga.
Kimberly Lamborn-Nydam earned her graduation from Chicago School of Massage Therapy in 1997. She worked in Chicago’s Northside until moving back to her home in Grand Rapids in 2001. She specializes in deep tissue, trigger point, sports massage, myofascial release and pregnancy massage. In 2005, she joined us as a part of the massage therapy team.
Shelly has a deep passion to assist others on their road to wellness. She worked in corporate America for over 12 years. She saw the need to contribute to society in a more organic approach. She is trained and certified through the Blue Heron Academy. She also received her national certification credentials for massage therapy in 2006. Shelly has had years of experience working with chiropractors and physical therapists. She specializes in deep tissue and therapeutic massage but has experience in many types of massage. She can help with chronic pain, autoimmune disorders, back and neck pain as well as sports injuries. She is a native of Michigan and she spends her downtime enjoying the great outdoors with her friends and her dog, Josie May.
Angela (Larman) Koster
Angela (Larman) Koster graduated from Baker College of Muskegon with an Associates Degree of Applied Science, Therapeutic Massage in 2016. She is a Licensed Massage Therapist and is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA). She did an internship with The Center for Physical Rehab and with Advanced Therapeutic Massage before she graduated. She is specialized in deep tissue, therapeutic massage. She has worked with clients who are recovering from surgery, athletes, and men and women of all ages. Her goal is to help educate her clients about their overall wellness and help them to understand how to improve their health.
